Free to use — Elastic License 2.0

The SearchAI Inference Server is free to use — including in production and for commercial purposes — under the Elastic License 2.0 (full text). In plain terms:

• You may download, install, copy, and use the software on your own infrastructure, at no cost, for any internal business purpose.
• You may not provide the software to third parties as a hosted or managed service (i.e., resell it as a service).
• You may not remove or alter licensing or copyright notices.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The software is provided "as is", without any warranty or condition of any kind. As far as the law allows, SearchBlox Software, Inc. will not be liable for any damages arising out of the use or nature of the software, under any kind of legal claim. See the license text for the operative terms.

AI output disclaimer

The software runs artificial-intelligence models that generate content automatically. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your purpose and must be reviewed by a qualified person before being relied upon. Outputs are not professional advice — including medical, legal, financial, or regulatory advice — and no output creates any professional relationship. You are responsible for how outputs are used in your organization, including human review appropriate to the risk of the use case, and for your own compliance with the laws and regulations that apply to your industry and data (privacy, sector rules, export controls). The software processes data entirely on your infrastructure; SearchBlox does not receive your prompts, documents, or outputs.

Models

The AI models downloaded by the installer are provided by their publishers under their own open model licenses, which govern your use of the models and are not modified by the software license. Model outputs are generated by those models; SearchBlox makes no warranty regarding them.

Commercial support

The free software comes without any support obligation. Production support plans — deployment assistance, sizing and scaling guidance, upgrades, and SLAs — are available with the SearchAI platform, which adds enterprise search, RAG pipelines, hybrid + vector search, personalization, and agentic workflows on top of this server. The platform can also generate distilled and custom models for your domain, served by this inference server — contact SearchBlox support to discuss.
